What do you mean by “boot camp”?

Inland Empire Boot Camp is not one of those military-style boot camps that new recruits endure when they join the army. In fact, we aren’t military style at all! We use the word boot camp, because that’s the word that everyone recognizes—when in fact we are simply the motivation, the camaraderie, the accountability, and the results of a boot camp but without the screaming and yelling. Our group personal training classes are 60-minutes of the most effective strength and cardio combinations possible—in fact we use interval-type training that is scientifically proven to be the most effective type of exercise for losing body fat and building that long, lean sexy muscle mass.

Why can’t I just cut my calories and do some cardio?

The ONLY way to lose body fat, increase your metabolism, and avoid those dreaded plateaus is to do some sort of resistance or weight training. Don’t worry ladies, it’s a myth that lifting weights will cause you to get big and bulky.  Adding lean muscle tone and losing body is the only way to achieve lasting fat loss. Just to give you an idea- for every pound of fat you have on your body, you burn about 1-2 calories per day. For every pound of muscle you have on your body, you burn about 50 calories per day. Muscle is about 25X more metabolically active than fat! Not to mention that muscle takes up a heck of a lot less room on your body.

Sure, cardio exercise burns calories, but it is not enough stimuli to gain muscle. You actually lose muscle if you just do cardio and SLOW DOWN your metabolism. That’s why it is so easy to gain back the weight after you get off your “diet and exercise” program. Most programs KILL your metabolism.

At Inland Empire Boot Camp, we combine interval-based resistance training and interval-based cardio (which is proven to be 9X more effective than long, slow distance cardio) for the ultimate formula for burning body fat AND raising your metabolism. Now you can eat the foods you love because you will be burning more and more calories every single day!

The word “boot camp” sounds intense and scares me.  I’ve never done an in-door boot camp, and I’m out of shape, will I be able to do it?

Yes you can! One of the main reasons we differ from other fitness boot camps out there is that we cater to the individual and don’t just have one set workout for everyone. Instead we show modifications, progressions, regressions, and low and high impact options so that every single person can work out to her own fitness level.  In fact, all of our classes use our “No one feels left behind” boot camp formula. We know that all of our boot campers are at different fitness levels and different points in their long-term goals. That is why we cater every workout– every single exercise to the INDIVIDUAL.  We assure you that NO ONE is left behind. We guarantee it!

What exactly does a typical boot camp class look like? What do you do?

A typical boot camp session combines strength, cardio, flexibility, stability, and core exercise all in one 45-minute session.  We use the “magic formula” of high intensity resistance training and high intensity cardio intervals. This is what the latest research and science tells us is the most effective and efficient way to work out for fat loss. In any given day we may use light dumbbells, balls, bands, gliding discs, or your own bodyweight. The class is never the same and you’ll also find theme-days such team challenges, partner workouts, or obstacle courses to constantly keep your body guessing and prevent you from getting bored. It’s so important that you enjoy working out, or let’s face it, you will do anything to avoid it.

I have no idea what to eat. Do you guys help us with nutrition?

What you eat is so incredibly important if you are trying to lose weight and tone up, but it’s no fun to starve yourself or meticulously count every single calorie or gram of carbohydrate. Included in your membership, you get access to the Inland Empire Boot Camp complete nutrition program, done-for-you meal planners, food logs, recipe guides, and all the support you need to get your food in order.

How soon can I expect to see changes?

Although you have unlimited ongoing support and motivation, making positive, healthy changes to your lifestyle is going to take massive determination and hard work on your part. That being said, the workouts you receive at Inland Empire Boot Camp are strategically designed to ensure maximum fat loss and pave the way to the changes you see for yourself.  We encourage you to remember that it is possible to out-eat any exercise program. That is why we provide you with only the most sound nutritional resources and guidance and supply you with the most fat-blasting workouts possible. Your body fat doesn’t stand a chance against us!

Why shouldn’t I just go join a gym for 20-80 dollars per month? Wouldn’t that do the trick?

We know that you have endless amounts of options to choose from to lose weight, get in shape, and get healthy, but it is a lot easier said than done. Recent studies have shown that 65% of people that join a gym stop going within the first 30 days of joining, and 89% stop going within the first 90 days.  That same study concluded that weight-loss seekers that had some sort of social support and accountability lost 50% more body fat than the test group that attempted to lose the weight on their own.

Losing weight and getting in shape is about motivation, accountability, AND knowing the right way to reach your goals.  It’s also about establishing an entire lifestyle change. Inland Empire Boot Camp is not a quick-fix program—it is a complete and comprehensive lifestyle program that incorporates strength, cardio, nutrition, accountability, willpower, education, motivation, and social support.  It’s a no-fail way to lose unwanted body fat so you have more energy to play with your kids, be able to walk into a store and fit into any piece of clothing, and feel as confident and happy as you deserve. Period.
